Is CEREC Safe?

There are a number of CEREC advantages, not the least of which is it produces strong, effective, and completely safe tooth restorations. Our Mesa dentists can use CEREC to create single visit dental crowns as well as porcelain inlays and onlays, enabling you to come to our office with a dental issue and leave with fully restored function and appearance.

CEREC may be used to create restorations for teeth that are:

  • Chipped, cracked, or broken
  • Decayed
  • Weakened by a root canal
  • Missing

During your visit, we would be happy to discuss with you any restoration that could be performed with CEREC.

Ceramic Restorations

Because CEREC restorations are ceramic, you needn’t worry about the mercury controversy. While research is as of yet inconclusive, evidence suggests that the mercury in some restorations may lead to issues as diverse as gum problems and kidney damage, making CEREC a much safer choice for our patients.

We are dedicated to your health and happiness, and do not offer any services that could jeopardize either of those things. We would be happy to address any specific concerns you have and help you better understand our technology during your initial consultation.
