NuCalm is a non-medication relaxation system that uses neuroscience to help quiet the mind. It involves a few simple tools: a small biosignal disc placed on your wrist, noise-canceling headphones, a light-blocking eye mask, and music that slows your brainwaves. The goal is to help your body feel like it’s in deep meditation, even while you’re fully awake and aware.

This setup allows you to stay calm during cleanings or longer procedures without needing gas or pills. You’ll leave your appointment clear-headed and relaxed.

How Is NuCalm Different From Other Sedation Options?

Everyone who experiences dental anxiety handles it differently. That’s why we offer a few different options to help you feel more at ease. Nitrous oxide, or laughing gas, is a light sedative you breathe in during treatment. It helps you feel calmer, but it wears off quickly.

For patients who need a deeper level of sedation during complex procedures, we can refer you for IV sedation, which is administered by a specialist outside our office.
