The FDA has approved a nerve stimulating headband for the treatment of migraine headaches. Similar to the TENS unit used by our Mesa neuromuscular dentists to relax muscles and produce instant pain-relief, this device may prove useful as an alternative to over-the-counter and prescription medications that are so often used to address severe head pain. However, the technology is nothing new to dentists who have been trained in treating TMD.
