Your Teeth Whitening Options

At the cosmetic dentistry office of Dr. Scott LeSueur and Dr. Charles Dodaro, there are several tooth whitening options we offer:

  • Creating take-home trays that fit the patient’s teeth very precisely, our dentists can create the most effective and brightest change by using our special whitening agents in the trays at home for 30 minutes to an hour per day for 10 to 14 days. The trays can then be used every few months with our touch-up whitening solution to keep the teeth at their initial whitened state.
  • For those in a rush to get a fast change, professional teeth whitening products can be used by our cosmetic dentists, which can whiten your smile in a single dental appointment. After only an hour or so at our office, you’ll have a glamorously bright smile.
  • Another type of take-home teeth whitening, UltraDent take-home kits allow you to gradually whiten your teeth over the course of a few days. These custom take-home kits provide more effective results than over-the-counter kits from the grocery store.
  • Although a little different than typical teeth whitening methods, porcelain veneers can whiten your smile by covering the stained surfaces of teeth. Veneers are bonded to the front of your teeth, creating a new tooth shape and color, and veneers are highly resistant to stains.

Porcelain veneers tend to last longer than the results of teeth whitening, which require touching up periodically, but teeth whitening can be completed faster. During a consultation with one of our experienced dentists, you can discuss these options and the dentist will help you choose the one fitting your expectations and preferences.
